MelPebbles' foil-wrapped dog appeared in the golden late-afternoon light with the diamond stretching out behind the stands; Daniel's came mustard-slathered and held aloft against the bright blue summer sky. The scoreboard said WPBL, the field said baseball, and the dogs said everything else.

Daniel later admitted he had a second hot dog but "there's no evidence" — a claim that prompted the rest of the server to debate whether an unlogged glizzy even counts. Meanwhile, MelPebbles returned for another foil-wrapped round as the stadium lights came on for the night game, making it a full ballpark double-header in its own right. If there's a more classic hot dog setting than a summer baseball game under the lights, the group hasn't found it yet.

On the evening of August 22, Tilor was walking the streets outside a packed Colorado Rockies game, foil-wrapped dog in hand, the unmistakable brick arch of Union Station blurred in the distance behind a crowd of purple-shirted fans. Then, less than 24 hours later on August 23, Daniel took the baton at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, dropping two back-to-back posts: a pair of mustard-and-onion foil-wrapped dogs against a sun-drenched infield, then a solo return visit just two innings later. Baseball dogs, plural, across two cities in two days — the kind of weekend the Year of the Glizzy was made for.
