Fourth of July Glizzy Blitz: The Whole Server Fires Up

July 4th brought out the best β€” and most β€” hot dogs the server had seen in weeks. By mid-afternoon, theweasel1337 had four dogs lined up with ketchup and mustard next to a Cutwater lime margarita. R0N1N_1 had a tray of grilled dogs ready to go. ChallengeXcepted plated two loaded dogs on a patriotic red-white-and-blue paper plate alongside watermelon and potato salad, captioning it simply "Round 1." Anthony showed up with two perfectly charred dogs drizzled with mustard. The chat lit up with the news that Joey Chestnut had just retaken the Nathan's title with 66 hot dogs in 10 minutes β€” prompting Fish to deadpan that Chestnut had consumed "my entire hotdog consumption for the year in a single sitting."

Then, late that night, shinypiplup came home from a BBQ that somehow had zero hot dogs and decided to fix that immediately β€” firing up a dog on a pan-toasted bun alongside a bowl of fresh guac. "I am forcing this dog down," he announced. Fish told him to stop. He did not stop. The server offered to create a "little league for the less gastronomically inclined." He declined.

Beach Dogs: Fish Brings Pulled Pork and Cheddar to the Sand on July 3rd

The evening before the Fourth, Fish took the humble hot dog somewhere it belongs: the beach. The photos tell the whole story β€” grilled dogs in buns, buried under a pile of pulled pork and shredded cheddar, eaten off paper plates with sand underfoot and a blue beach towel in the background. It's the kind of meal that only tastes right with the sun low and your shoes off.

Three separate shots capture the spread at different stages β€” the overloaded close-up of just the toppings, a hand holding the fully assembled dog against the shoreline, and a beautifully char-marked final version ready to eat. No mustard, no ketchup. Just smoke, pork, and cheese on a summer evening. A proper pre-holiday send-off.

Wiener Wednesday at Dog Haus: The Group Assembles

On June 24th, the gang traded their home kitchens and desk setups for a proper sit-down at Dog Haus β€” and someone had the foresight to document the whole thing. Daniel's photo shows a long outdoor table packed with smiling faces, trays of loaded sausages in front of nearly everyone, and the kind of relaxed midday energy that only a group hot dog lunch can produce. It's the fullest the crew has looked all year.

theweasel1337 and ChallengeXcepted both posted their own trays: charred brioche buns heaped with caramelized onions, specialty sauces, sauerkraut, and house-made sausages that make the average gas-station dog weep with envy. shinypiplup added two more from their own tray β€” one loaded with avocado and tomato, another dusted with cotija and jalapeΓ±os. R0N1N_1 posted the aftermath: a thoroughly demolished tray with just a half-bun and some tater tots remaining. Wiener Wednesday delivered.

Wiener Wednesday at Dog Haus Eastvale

Every Wednesday has a name in this group, and on June 17th Daniel, shinypiplup, and at least one other friend made it official at Dog Haus in Eastvale. The patio selfie says it all: three people, good beer, and a couple of loaded dogs on metal trays in front of them. Daniel's went out loaded with caramelized onions, white sauce, and grainy mustard on a toasted King's Hawaiian bun; shinypiplup doubled up, snapping a photo of two trays side by side before trying to bot-log both at once.

The tradition has been building for a few weeks now β€” Daniel floated the idea the night before, shinypiplup joked about bringing "travel dogs" if attendance kept dropping β€” and this week they actually showed up. Fish asked afterward if it was the Victoria Gardens location; Daniel confirmed Eastvale. Either way, Wiener Wednesday has a home.

Wiener Wednesday at Dog Haus Eastvale

Daniel put out the call Wednesday morning β€” Wiener Wednesday at Dog Haus Eastvale, noon, Norco/Eastvale area, all invited. By 12:26 PM the photo was in: Daniel, shinypiplup, and one more friend seated at an outdoor bar top under a shade umbrella, each with a loaded tray of gourmet dogs in front of them. Drinks in hand, peace signs thrown, grins all around.

It's the kind of casual midday meetup that this whole challenge quietly builds toward β€” an excuse to drag people to a proper dog joint on a Wednesday. Tilor's response from the sidelines summed it up perfectly: 'Everyone is a wiener. Cause you all had glizzys.'

Glizzies on the Water: A Boat Day Dog

On June 6th, Daniel and MelPebbles took their hot dog commitment somewhere most people wouldn't dare β€” out on the water. Daniel's selfie says it all: red beanie, round shades, and a foil-wrapped dog held up against a marina backdrop while sitting on what looks like a sailboat. The navigation markers and waterfront homes of what appears to be Newport Beach fill out the scene behind him.

MelPebbles followed up minutes later with her own shot β€” a plain dog unwrapped from foil, resting on the boat deck with the harbor blurring softly in the background. No fanfare, no toppings, just a proper glizzy at sea. Easily one of the most picturesque dog settings the server has seen.

nandopanto's Dodger Stadium Double: Baseball's Greatest Snack, Finally Logged

nandopanto had a question for the group: is there a time limit on posting your glizzy pic? The photo in question was from a couple weeks prior β€” two fully loaded Dodger Dogs held up against a packed, sun-drenched stadium, the diamond green and perfect in the background. Mustard, ketchup, relish, diced onions. The full treatment. Daniel gave the green light, and the dogs were officially on the board.

Then, almost at the same time, nandopanto dropped a second photo: a group of three grinning friends in the stands at what appears to be an Angels game, foil-wrapped dogs piled up in their laps like a small hot dog mountain. Turns out this wasn't a solo mission β€” it was a full crew outing, glizzies and all. The delayed posts made it feel like finding a hidden roll of film from a very good day.
